Zapp Partners With Bounce Infinity mobility outlook

Zapp Electric Vehicles Group Limited has announced a strategic partnership with Bounce Infinity, to manufacture Zapp’s i300 motorcycles at Bhiwadi plant leveraging its extensive manufacturing capabilities and market presence. This partnership is expected to facilitate Zapp’s swift entry into the Indian market, one of the largest markets for two-wheel electric vehicles globally. By combining Bounce Infinity’s manufacturing expertise with Zapp’s innovative designs, the collaboration seeks to deliver premium and sustainable personal mobility solutions.

Under the agreement, Bounce Infinity will provide contract manufacturing services for Zapp's electric vehicles, ensuring they meet Zapp's specifications. This collaboration will expedite the production process and ensure market readiness in India. Moreover, Bounce Infinity will assist Zapp in obtaining necessary approvals for homologating its products for sale in India, with the entire process expected to be completed within 120 days from the memorandum of understanding's effective date.

Swin Chatsuwan, Founder and CEO of Zapp EV, stated “Bounce’s manufacturing expertise and market presence in India is expected to accelerate Zapp’s commercial rollout in key urban areas in the country. We think the design attributes of the i300 make it an excellent solution for personal mobility with India’s growing purchasing power and urban densification.”

Zapp’s business model, characterised by its asset-light and capital-efficient approach, relies on contract manufacturing partnerships to scale production quickly without significant capital expenditures. The i300 motorcycle features removable and portable battery packs that can be charged from any standard wall socket, eliminating the need for dedicated charging infrastructure.
