Youdha, a new electric vehicle (EV) brand launched by Lohia Auto, has set an ambitious goal of achieving 300,000 units by 2027. The launch of Youdha reflects a commitment to celebrating the resilience and hard work of individuals who rely on electric three-wheelers to support their families and communities. Inspired by the word 'warrior,' the brand seeks to honour the contributions of these unsung heroes to India’s economic fabric. Central to Youdha’s philosophy is a drive to provide efficient and sustainable solutions tailored for urban and semi-urban areas, while enabling drivers to achieve their aspirations.
Youdha is supported by Lohia Auto’s manufacturing facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand. Located within a green belt and powered by advanced Cloud ERP systems, the facility has an annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles, ensuring robust scalability. The brand plans to expand its dealer network, targeting 150 dealers by March 2025 and 200 by Diwali of the same year, to strengthen its presence in metropolitan, tier-2, and tier-3 cities.
The initial product portfolio of Youdha will feature L5 electric vehicles, including the E5 Passenger and E5 Cargo models. Designed for urban and semi-urban commutes, the E5 Passenger prioritises space and efficiency, while the E5 Cargo offers durable and reliable solutions for last-mile logistics. The vehicles focus on sustainability and user convenience, aiming to deliver performance that supports drivers’ professional and personal aspirations.
Youdha has disclosed plans to invest INR 200 million in overall expansion efforts, encompassing product development and distribution capabilities. The brand also emphasises a strong commitment to sustainability, aligning its growth strategies with the broader goals of reducing carbon emissions and promoting green mobility.
