The R1 RACE comes equipped with MotoGP-inspired aerodynamic winglets, new generation KYB front forks, and a race-optimised Brembo braking system. These features are designed to offer unmatched stability, improved front-end feel, and exceptional stopping power, ensuring an exhilarating track experience. The bike is powered by Yamaha's renowned 998cc crossplane 4-cylinder engine, delivering 197 bhp of power, while an advanced electronics package ensures precise control with traction, brake, and lift controls, among other rider aids.
For those looking for an even higher level of track performance, the R1 GYTR adds to the R1 RACE’s features with Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) parts. These include a GYTR Racing ECU, Akrapovic race muffler, and adjustable GYTR rearsets and handlebars. Built to comply with FIM Superstock 1000 regulations, the R1 GYTR can be further customised to meet individual racing needs, making it an ideal choice for riders aiming for peak performance.
