Yamaha Motor stood out among this vast pool, being one of only 346 companies, including 109 Japanese firms, to attain an 'A' score for its transparency in addressing climate change.

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has garnered recognition for its exceptional transparency and performance in addressing climate change, securing a coveted spot on the prestigious A List for 2023 by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). This marks Yamaha Motor's inaugural achievement of an 'A' score from the renowned global environmental non-profit organization.

The CDP, an international non-profit, operates the world's foremost environmental disclosure system for companies and municipalities, influencing investment and procurement decisions to foster a more sustainable and resilient net-zero economy.

In 2023, a record-breaking 23,000 companies, including 1,985 from Japan, responded to information requests from financial institutions, purchasing entities, and organisations via the CDP. These companies disclosed crucial data related to climate change, forests, and water security.

Yamaha Motor, guided by its Long-Term Vision for 2030, titled 'ART for Human Possibilities,' aims to tackle societal challenges uniquely in the Yamaha way and develop businesses contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the realm of climate change, the company has ambitiously set carbon neutrality as a goal in its Yamaha Motor Group Environmental Plan 2050.
