India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has officially introduced the R3 and MT-03 models in India at INR 4.65 lakh ex-showroom, India and INR 4.60 lakh, respectively, under its dynamic brand campaign - The Call of the Blue.

The R3 and MT-03, the latest additions to Yamaha’s portfolio, target the growing aspirations of young R15 and MT-15 customers in India.

Powered by a robust 321cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, in-line two-cylinder, DOHC, and 4-valve per cylinder fuel-injected engine, delivering 30.9 kW (42 PS) at 10,750rpm of maximum power and 29.5 Nm (3 kg-m) at 9,000rpm of maximum torque.

Key features include a lightweight diamond frame, upside down front forks, long swingarm, mono-cross rear suspension, multi-function LCD instrument cluster, and LED headlight, taillight & turn signal light.

The R3, developed under the concept of “Ride the R Anytime,” offers excellent riding confidence, quick-revving performance, and high-rpm efficiency. It features a near 50/50 weight distribution, ideal for supersport bikes, ensuring smooth handling. The MT-03, designed under the concept of “MTs that stimulate your Pride - The Evolution to a True MT Sibling,” is a master of torque with an aggressive design and bold front face, showcasing the distinct “MT” look.

Both motorcycles feature a compact and lightweight diamond frame chassis for optimal strength and rigidity, neutral handling, and easy maneuverability. The 573mm long swingarm, mono-cross rear suspension, and Upside-Down Front Forks ensure riding confidence. Equipped with dual-channel ABS and powerful disc brakes, these bikes offer excellent stopping power with precise lever feel, enhancing the supersports experience for Yamaha customers in India.
