Homegrown car manufacturer on Thursday claimed it has recorded 25,000 bookings in 57 minutes for its XUV700.
The company opened the bookings for the vehicle today at launch prices that reflect up to six months of production depending on the variant.
It is the first car in the Indian automotive market to achieve this milestone, the company said in a press release.
Veejay Nakra, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M, said, “While we had anticipated the traffic and prepared our system with added server capacity, the overwhelming response could have regrettably led to a slow user experience by some of our customers.”
Bookings for the product will reopen starting at 10 am on October 8. Customers can book their preferred XUV700 models via dealerships or digital platforms at its new yet highly attractive price points applicable for the next 25,000 bookings, after which prices at the time of delivery will prevail.
