Wipro, a prominent technology services and consulting firm, has partnered with FORVIA, the world’s seventh-largest automotive technology supplier, to enhance FORVIA’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) using Wipro Engineering Edge’s cloud-based architecture.

Leveraging Wipro’s Cloud Car platform, which incorporates microservices and vehicle container architecture, FORVIA's ADAS applications have become largely hardware-independent, reducing maintenance costs and seamlessly integrating into Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEM) systems. This innovation allows FORVIA to offer its ADAS features either as standalone solutions or in combination with other ADAS functionalities, providing a competitive edge.

A highlight of the project is FORVIA’s enhanced surround-view technology, which merges external camera feeds to deliver a 3D perspective, assisting drivers with safe and easy parking. By shifting to a service-oriented microservice architecture, FORVIA has reduced software development lifecycle (SDLC) costs, marking a significant improvement in scalability and efficiency.

Graziella Neuvéglise, Regional Head & Managing Director of Southern Europe at Wipro, said, the project demonstrates Wipro’s capabilities in Software-Defined Vehicle engineering, helping automotive leaders rethink safety and entertainment features with cloud-native solutions.

Vanessa Picron, VP of Electronics Europe Division at FORVIA, added, “As the automotive industry embraces software transformation, our move to microservices and container architecture is crucial for competitive, integrable functions. This collaboration with Wipro merges our shared vision and expertise, delivering more agile and innovative solutions for our customers.”

This partnership underscores Wipro’s role in advancing software-defined vehicle technology, enabling FORVIA to stay at the forefront of the automotive industry’s digital transformation.
