Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with C4V, a New York-based lithium-ion battery technology company. The collaboration is set to focus on developing advanced lithium-ion battery cells tailored to the performance needs of Wardwizard’s electric vehicle line-up, which includes high-speed scooters and three-wheelers. By leveraging C4V’s expertise in battery cell design and optimisation, the partnership seeks to deliver highly stable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries. These batteries are designed to withstand India’s challenging climatic conditions while offering high charging cycles and enhanced performance.

The MoU outlines a roadmap for defining product specifications, creating prototypes, and conducting rigorous performance tests. Both companies have also expressed a strong commitment to localising battery manufacturing in India, in line with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. This localisation effort is expected to reduce costs, increase production efficiency, and support the growth of India’s electric vehicle ecosystem.

Yatin Gupte, Chairman and Managing Director of Wardwizard Innovations, stated “By collaborating with C4V, we aim to develop cutting-edge battery technology that will not only enhance the performance of our vehicles but also contribute to India’s vision for sustainable and green mobility.”

Dr Shailesh Upreti, CEO of C4V, added “Partnering with Wardwizard provides us with a unique opportunity to introduce our advanced battery solutions to India. This collaboration will enable us to establish strong supply agreements while driving innovation and supporting the global shift towards sustainable energy.”

While the financial details of the partnership have not been disclosed, the focus on localisation is expected to impact pricing favourably.
