Volkswagen Passenger Cars India has launched the Tiguan with an RDE-compliant engine in dual-tone Storm Grey interiors and wireless mobile charging at INR 34.69 lakh, ex-showroom, India. Additionally, the updated Tiguan is also equipped with park assist (Level 1 ADAS system).
On the safety side, it gets a rear seat belt reminder, along with six airbags, ABS, ESC, anti-slip regulation, EDL, EDTC - engine drag torque control, hill start assist, hill descent control, active TPMS, three head-rests at the rear, 3-point seat belts, ISOFIX and driver alert systems.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, “We are certain the enhanced Tiguan will attract many more Indian customers to the Volkswagen family enabling them to experience & enjoy our flagship model.”
Launched in December 2021 at INR 31.99 lakh, ex-showroom, India, the Tiguan is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TSI engine mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission delivering 190 Ps and 320 Nm of torque. The power is sent to all four wheels via the 4motion all-wheel-drive system, which is standard across the range.
