Volkswagen Passenger Cars India has launched the Virtus GT DSG starting at INR 16.20 lakh, ex-showroom, India, making it a new entry point for the GT line-up within the Virtus line-up.
Powered by a 1.5L EVO TSI engine with active cylinder cut-off technology (ACT) that comes with 7-speed DSG transmission, the car delivers a peak power of 150PS and peak torque of 250Nm, offering a fuel efficiency of 19.62 kmpl (ARAI certified).
On the features side, the new variant gets a 25.65 cm touchscreen infotainment system equipped with wireless AppConnect through Apple Carplay and Android Auto, eight speakers sound system, wireless mobile charging, and My Volkswagen Connect Plus, among others.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, “In one year, the Volkswagen Virtus has captured the hearts and minds of Indian customers making it the most-loved sedan in India.”
Earlier in April, the carmaker showcased six variants of Taigun and Virtus and manual transmission in Virtus GT Plus, powered by the 1.5l TSI EVO engine. In addition, the carmaker also introduced two new variants of Taigun - GT Plus MT and GT DSG, besides introducing new exterior body colour, ‘Lava Blue’, across all variants.
