Volvo Car India claims that its recently launched all-electric offering got booked for the whole calendar year within two hours of the OEM opening bookings on its official website. The company plans to deliver 150 XC40 Recharge cars by the end of December 2022.
The OEM's strategy of showcasing the car across our business partner locations and giving the prospective customers in these cities the opportunity to drive the XC40 Recharge has helped, noted Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director, Volvo Car India. Malhotra said, 'The XC40 Recharge can only be booked online on Volvo Cars' official website and the pan India customer drive experience resulted in a quick hassle-free ordering process.'
Volvo XC40 Recharge was launched over Metaverse named ‘VolvoVerse’ on 26 July at an ownership package of INR 55.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The OEM is offering three years of comprehensive car warranty, three years of Volvo service package, three years RSA, eight years of battery warranty, a digital service subscription of four years, and an 11 kW wall box charger within this price.
Powered by a twin motor, the latest electric SUV from Volvo is capable of delivering 408 bhp and 660 Nm of peak torque. The electric motors are powered by a 78 kWh battery pack giving a range of up to 418kms on a single charge.
Volvo noted that the battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% in around 28 minutes using a fast charger (150KW).
