Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has handover EC380DL UHR High-Reach Demolition Excavator to United Saw Services (USS) in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad. This marks a major step in advancing controlled demolition technology in India, enhancing precision, stability, and operator safety for complex urban projects.

Equipped with a CR-20 concrete crusher and an impressive 23-meter reach, the EC380DL UHR significantly reduces dust, noise, and vibration, ensuring safer and more efficient deconstruction. It will be deployed for the controlled demolition of a fire-damaged three-story, 50,000-square-foot building, a project that demands precision and reliability in a densely populated urban environment.

The handover event saw key industry leaders in attendance, including Sanu George, Market Area Head for South and West, Volvo CE India, and S N Vinod Kumar from United Saw Services. The occasion was graced by Mohan Ramanathan, Founder Chairman of the Indian Demolition Association (IDA), and Zaki Ahamed, a leading structural consultant.

Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director, Volvo CE India, stated, “The EC380DL UHR High-Reach Demolition Excavator is redefining safety and efficiency in demolition. After a successful deployment in Chennai last year, we are proud to bring this cutting-edge machine to Hyderabad, providing enhanced control, reduced environmental impact, and greater precision in demanding urban demolition projects.”

Ramanathan said, “High-reach demolition excavators represent a major advancement for our industry. Their adoption ensures higher efficiency and safety, particularly in urban environments where precision is essential. Volvo’s EC380DL UHR is setting a new benchmark for sustainable and controlled demolition in India.”

Kumar said, “Partnering with Volvo CE for the deployment of the EC380DL UHR is a game-changer for us. This advanced machine allows us to execute complex demolitions with minimal environmental impact, reinforcing our commitment to safety and innovation.”

With Volvo’s signature stability control, reinforced high-reach boom, and dust suppression technology, the EC380DL UHR High-Reach Demolition Excavator is set to become a preferred choice for urban demolition projects.
