Volvo Car India has opened online bookings for its latest addition to the electric vehicle (EV) lineup, the XC40 Recharge Single Motor Variant, which is priced at INR 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The new XC40 Recharge is assembled locally at Volvo's manufacturing facility in Hosakote, Bengaluru, marking it as the third EV model to be produced in India by the company. This move underscores Volvo's commitment to sustainable mobility and its strategy to increase the accessibility of electric vehicles in the Indian market.
The XC40 Recharge Single Motor Variant is not just about sustainable driving; it's about delivering performance and range that meet the demands of Indian roads. With a power output of 238 bhp and a torque of 420 Nm, the vehicle promises a dynamic driving experience. It boasts an impressive range of 475 kilometres according to WLTP standards and extends to 592 kilometres under ICAT testing conditions on a single charge, addressing range anxiety for prospective EV owners.
Volvo has not compromised on features and safety in this electric avatar of the XC40. The vehicle comes with an 8-year battery warranty, ensuring peace of mind for owners. It includes a wall box charger as standard, facilitating convenient at-home charging. The SUV is equipped with a host of digital services, including Google Built-in and the Volvo Cars App, enhancing the connectivity and convenience for the driver.
The XC40 Recharge is equipped with an array of safety features like the Blind Spot Information System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Pilot Assist, affirming Volvo's reputation for safety.
