Volkswagen India has officially introduced the all-new Tiguan R-Line, a refreshed and premium version of its tough SUV. While pricing has not yet been disclosed, it is expected to be positioned in the upper bracket of the midsize premium SUV segment, likely around INR 45 lakh, placing it above the current Tiguan Elegance trim.
The Tiguan R-Line brings a completely new design approach to the SUV with several 'R' themed elements that differentiate it from its predecessor. The exterior features LED Plus headlamps, a bold illuminated front grille, and animated 3D LED rear lights. Diamond-turned 19-inch “Coventry” alloy wheels, a redesigned bumper with chrome air intake trims, and silver anodised roof rails enhance the sporty character of the vehicle. The rear section receives a horizontal LED strip and the overall silhouette includes an athletic shoulder line with improved aerodynamics.

The cabin comes equipped with sport comfort seats featuring massage and lumbar support functions. The dashboard carries an illuminated ‘R’ logo and a new cockpit design focused on intuitive and ergonomic placement. A panoramic sunroof adds a sense of openness while ambient lighting in 30 colour options allows personalisation. The vehicle also includes brushed stainless steel pedals and illuminated door handle recesses as part of its premium appeal.

The technology and comfort package is equally robust. The SUV is equipped with Air Care Climatronic 3-zone climate control, Park Assist Plus with Park Distance Control, and wireless charging capability for two smartphones. The blend of digital and physical controls ensures an advanced and easy-to-use driving environment. Volkswagen has also emphasised the design’s focus on functionality, promising a seamless driving experience for urban and long-distance travel.
The Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 201 bhp engine delivering 320 Nm of torque tuned for sharp driving dynamics.
