At the annual Brand Conference 2024, Volkswagen India showcased its revamped product line-up, introducing the new GT Plus Sport and GT Line variants for its popular SUV, Taigun, and taking a giant leap into electrification with the showcase of the ID.4.
The GT Plus Sport variant is a nod to the adventurous spirit of SUV enthusiasts, offering 'Black Themed' exterior and interior enhancements that amplify the vehicle's sporty and robust nature. This design ethos not only enhances the visual appeal of the Taigun but also aligns with the dynamic lifestyle of its target demographic.
On the other hand, the GT Line variant democratises the sporty aesthetic, powered by the renowned 1.0l TSI petrol engine, available in both 6-speed Automatic and Manual Transmission options. This move is aimed at making the sporty driving experience more accessible to a broader audience, fulfilling the aspirations of many who seek the performance and prestige associated with the GT badge.
A Strategic Refresh: New Line Structure For Taigun
Volkswagen's introduction of a new line structure for Taigun under the 'GT Edge', 'Chrome', and 'Sport' trim plans is a strategic initiative to offer customers a more personalized and diverse choice. Each trim line is designed to cater to different customer preferences, offering unique design personas and a range of engine and transmission options. Volkswagen also introduced the Virtus GT Plus Sport as a concept as well, with its probability of a market launch in the second quarter of FY2024.
Volkswagen ID.4 Makes Its India Debut
