Volkswagen India Makes 6 Airbags Standard mobility outlook

Volkswagen India has announced that all variants of its 5-Star GNCAP safety-rated models the Taigun and Virtus will now come with six airbags as standard. Since their launch, the Taigun and Virtus have been popular choices among Indian consumers, with over 1 lakh families opting for these models. The Taigun alone has contributed to over 61% of the sales that helped Volkswagen reach the milestone of 100,000+ India 2.0 cars. The Virtus, on the other hand, has established itself as a preferred premium mid-size sedan due to its robust package and performance.

Moreover, performance remains a key factor for Volkswagen customers, with nearly 40% of them opting for the GT variants of both the Taigun and Virtus. These variants are highly coveted for their superior performance and advanced features.

Commenting on this achievement, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, mentioned “Today, we take great pride in announcing our portfolio of India 2.0 cars offering 6 airbags as standard across the line-up. We are also delighted to have achieved the over 1 lakh sales milestone by the Taigun and Virtus. Volkswagen India has also expanded its accessibility through a network of 208 sales and pre-owned car outlets and 142 service outlets across 155 cities in India. This extensive network ensures that Volkswagen can provide better service and support to its customers, further enhancing their ownership experience.
