Visteon Corporation has announced the opening of a new display bonding facility in Maraimalai Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The new 13,000-square-foot facility is the first automotive display bonding facility in India, leveraging advanced robotic technology from its locations worldwide, a press release from the company said.
João Paulo Ribeiro, Senior Vice President, Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement Visteon, noted that the facility will enable the company to better serve the customers in the region and globally while creating new job opportunities contributing to the local economy.
“This new facility is essential to producing next-generation cockpit displays with the design, resolution and sizes that automakers are looking for today,” he added.
