Vistara has announced the delivery of its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The aircraft taken on lease by the Full-Service Carrier will be deployed in the Frankfurt – Paris sector. Starting October 30, Vistara will operate six weekly flights between Delhi and Frankfurt and five weekly flights between Delhi and Paris.
Vistara’s Chief Commercial Officer, Deepak Rajawat, said Europe has been a key focus market for the airline since the beginning. “We have been wanting to ramp up frequencies on these sectors, and we are delighted to be able to finally do that.”
Beginning in May, Vistara commenced daily flights on its Delhi-London and Mumbai-Singapore sectors. Earlier this week, Vistara inaugurated services from Mumbai to Jeddah and Bangkok.
Vistara’s Dreamliner aircraft are configured in a three-class cabin configuration, with Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins. The airline also operates a single-aisle jetliner fleet comprised of 41 Airbus A320s and five Airbus A321neos, in addition to five Boeing 737-800NGs. Vistara recently crossed the mark of flying 35 million passengers.
