Full-service carrier Vistara has announced that it will partner with German carrier Lufthansa’s frequent flier programme (FFP).
Vistara’s FFP - Club Vistara (CV) and Lufthansa’s Miles & More FFP now share a reciprocal partnership. Both airlines already share an existing codeshare partnership, which began in December 2019.
According to Vinod Kannan, Chief Commercial Officer, Vistara, the partnership with Lufthansa would bring synergies between their respective FFP. “I am confident that this will enable us to provide greater value and convenience to our Club Vistara members on their travels across the world,” he added.
Club Vistara members will now earn and redeem CV points on flights operated and marketed by Lufthansa, allowing them access to nearly 200 destinations globally. Reciprocally, Miles & More members can now earn and redeem miles on Vistara flights.
Christopher Siegloch, Senior Director, Loyalty Programme Development & Service, Miles & More, said, “Vistara as a strong partner and popular airline extends our airline portfolio and therefore offers added value to our Miles & More members which now have the opportunity to earn and redeem miles on Vistara flights.”
A joint venture of Tata group and Singapore Airlines, Vistara is the only Indian carrier to offer a three-class cabin configuration with a Premium Economy Class option. Since starting commercial operations in January 2015, the airline’s fleet has grown to 50 aircraft, including 38 Airbus A320s, four A321neos, six Boeing 737-800NGs and two 787-9s.
