Domestic full-service airline Vistara has a new CEO in Vinod Kannan. Before being appointed as Vistara’s CEO, Kannan had been the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer since January 2020, before which he had begun his stint with the airline as its Chief Strategy Officer in June 2019.
Kannan said, “I am honoured to be given the opportunity to carry forward the momentum that Leslie Thng has built during his time at Vistara. I look forward to continue strengthening Vistara’s position in both - domestic and international markets, along with such a capable and resilient team.”
Since joining the airline, Kannan has played a pivotal role in launching Vistara’s international operations, expanding its domestic network, fleet size and driving the airline’s steady growth during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, Vistara’s new chief executive is a Singapore Airlines (SIA) veteran, having spent over decades with the Singaporean carrier.
Vistara also announced that Deepak Rajawat, who has been with the airline since its inception, would be its new Chief Commercial Officer.
