Hyundai Alcazar Launched At INR 14.99lakh mobility outlook

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced the Hyundai Alcazar 6 and 7-seater SUV designed to offer advanced safety, smart connectivity, and an enhanced driving experience. Launched at a competitive price point of INR 14.99 lakh for the turbocharged petrol and INR 15.99 lakh for the diesel (all prices ex-showroom), the Alcazar positions itself as a versatile and comfortable option for families and long-distance travellers alike. Chassis enhancements help improve the structural rigidity of the vehicle thus improving handling performance and overall safety.

In terms of performance, the new Alcazar comes with two engine options. The 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 158 bhp and a torque of 253 Nm. This variant is available with both a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), offering a dynamic and responsive driving experience. Alternatively, the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine focuses on fuel efficiency, with a maximum power of 114 bhp and torque of 250 Nm, coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Alcazar’s exterior design has been crafted for a commanding presence on the road. Hyundai’s focus on enhancing the vehicle’s appearance is evident in the broader stance, newly designed front grille, and signature H-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). Its diamond-cut alloy wheels and quad-beam LED headlamps further elevate the SUV’s modern aesthetics.

For the interior experience, Alcazar offers a premium experience with dual-tone interiors in noble brown and haze navy. Both seating configurations, the 6-seater with captain seats and the 7-seater with bench seats, ensure maximum comfort. The vehicle features ventilated seats in both the first and second rows, making long drives more pleasant. The 7-seater variant also provides a convenient seat-tumble mechanism for easier access to the third row, highlighting the SUV’s focus on space and flexibility.

Convenience features include Hyundai’s Digital Key with NFC technology, allowing for a smartphone or smartwatch to lock, unlock, and even start the vehicle. The SUV also integrates Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology, offering over 70 features, including smartwatch compatibility, voice commands, and 10 ambient sound options that enhance the overall user experience. Entertainment and navigation are powered by a 10.25-inch HD infotainment system, supporting regional languages and in-built navigation.

The new Hyundai Alcazar has over 70 safety elements, including Hyundai’s SmartSense Level 2 ADAS, which ensures driver assistance through features like forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assistance. The SUV’s high-strength steel body, combined with six airbags and advanced braking systems, underscores its commitment to passenger protection.

With a variety of colours, including the new Robust Emerald Matte and nine other options, the Hyundai Alcazar aims to appeal to a broad audience. Furthermore, Hyundai offers peace of mind to its customers through a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty and roadside assistance.
