In a bid to leverage its research and innovation, and industrial capabilities and provide exposure to students in various emerging technologies, Valeo India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
The MoU covers campus recruitment, collaborative training & internships, employee continuing education, short-term training programmes, collaborative research projects, visiting appointments and advisory, hackathons and business technical events & student interaction/guest lecture programmes.
Sanoj Somasundaran, General Manager, Technical Center, Mechanical & Electronics, Valeo, said, “We are proud to have a partnership with Amrita University. It will really empower the students with an industry-ready engineering curriculum by training them during internships. It will also result in hiring opportunities through placements.”
V Mohan Doss, Director, Academia-Industry Partnership, Corporate & Industry Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, added, “This MoU will offer great opportunities for our students. Amrita’s faculty and research centres are focused on undertaking industry-funded research projects in all emerging technologies so we invite Valeo, as a next step in our partnership, to set up a Research Cluster/ Centre of Excellence at the University premises.”
