Ultraviolette Expands EV Portfolio With Shockwave Motorcycle & Tesseract Scooter

Bookings are open for both the models, while deliveries will begin by Q1 of FY2026.

Ultraviolette has taken a major step in the electric vehicle sector with the launch of two new products—Tesseract electric scooter, and Shockwave lightweight electric motorcycle. Shockwave motorcycle is priced at INR 1.49 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 customers, post which it will be priced at INR 1.75 lakh. While Tesseract electric scooter has been introduced at a price of INR 1.2 lakh for the first 10,000 customers, after which it will be priced at INR 1.45 lakh.

Shockwave electric motorcycle is designed to offer a high-performance riding experience, inspired by the agility and thrill of classic two-stroke bikes. The model focuses on lightweight engineering, making it both powerful and easy to handle. Ultraviolette aims to position Shockwave as a game-changer in the electric motorcycle category, combining modern EV technology with a riding experience reminiscent of petrol-powered sportbikes.

The Tesseract scooter is claimed to be the world's most advanced electric scooter, featuring integrated radar and dashcam technology. It is equipped with Omnisense mirrors that offer advanced safety features such as Blindspot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Overtaking Assist, and real-time Collision Alerts. Additional features include traction control, dynamic regenerative braking, and a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display. The model also integrates multi-colour LED indicators within its mirrors to enhance rider awareness and safety.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder, highlighted that Ultraviolette’s seven years of research and development have resulted in breakthrough innovations in rider safety, connected technology, and battery performance. The newly introduced models reinforce India’s role as a leader in EV manufacturing and technology development for global markets.

Ultraviolette’s technological showcase included features such as intelligent rider safety systems, radar technology, connected and temperature-controlled riding gear, aviation-based motor technology, and voice-based communication systems. The company emphasised that these innovations will define the future of two-wheeler mobility, offering a more seamless and safer riding experience.

Ultraviolette has expanded its reach to thirteen cities within India and plans to extend its footprint to fifty cities by FY 2026. The company is also eyeing international markets, with expansion plans in the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and France.
