Uber has announced a new partnership with the Indian Air Force (IAF) to serve as its exclusive mobility partner providing transportation solutions for Air Force officers, veterans, and their families across the country.

Under this partnership, the Indian Air Force will make use of Uber for Business, a platform that allows organisations to customise transportation services to meet their specific needs. The IAF will be able to streamline and digitise the process of managing official travel and daily commutes, ensuring a more efficient and seamless travel experience. Uber’s services are expected to support change management in the IAF’s travel systems with tailored enterprise benefits to meet the unique needs of Air Force personnel.

The signing was presided over by Air Marshal RK Anand, VSM, AOA, while AVM Updesh Sharma, VSM, ACAS (Accts & AV), and Abhinav Mittoo, Senior Country General Manager for Uber, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective organisations.

The Indian Air Force expressed its optimism about the partnership, stating that it represents a key step towards improving mobility solutions for Air Force personnel and their families. Abhinav Mittoo highlighted that the partnership would contribute to digitalisation and enhance cost efficiencies while improving rider experiences at scale.
