TVS SCS

TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS), a global leader in supply chain solutions, announced a new 5-year strategic contract with Daimler Truck South East Asia Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG.

This agreement establishes TVS SCS as a primary logistics partner for the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles, enhancing logistics services between Germany and the Asia-Pacific region. This partnership solidifies TVS SCS’s role in providing Integrated Supply Chain Solutions (ISCS) services in Singapore.

The collaboration aims to achieve several key objectives. Firstly, it will establish a robust logistics framework for distributing spare parts and related items. Secondly, it will streamline operations to service Daimler Truck South East Asia's distributor network, dealers, and workshops across 16 countries in the Asia-Pacific region from the strategic logistics centre in Singapore. Thirdly, the collaboration will manage 8,000 SKUs and 65,000 order lines annually, catering to diverse parts with varying storage requirements. Additionally, it will ensure seamless multimodal transportation, including air, Full Container Load (FCL), Less than Container Load (LCL), and road transportation, along with customs clearance and Dangerous Goods (DG) declarations. Lastly, it will deliver a customised IT solution suite centered on an online platform that provides inventory visibility and ordering to Daimler Truck Parts Centre (DTPC) Southeast Asia customers. This system will integrate inventory management, parts replenishment ordering, parts pricing, invoicing, and data analytics.

“The scope and prestige of this partnership reflect the trust placed in TVS SCS to manage critical supply chain operations,” said Vittorio Favati, CEO of TVS SCS Global Forwarding Solutions. “The long-standing relationship between Daimler and TVS SCS is a testament to both companies’ commitment to operational excellence and innovation,” he added.

Christoph Stemmer, Vice President Customer Services & Parts, Mercedes-Benz Bus and Special Truck Sales SEA, added, “TVS SCS has been chosen as our logistics partner due to their unique service offer and their performance as a dedicated and passionate warehouse and logistics provider. We look forward to a successful collaboration.”

TVS SCS On A Roll

Off late TVS SCS is on a roll, actively engaging in new collaborations and securing contract extensions. Recently the company announced the extension of its contract with Rolls-Royce, a renowned leader in technology and innovation, for an additional five years, extending until 2029. This renewal, which took place last February, underscores the trust and confidence Rolls-Royce places in TVS SCS's service performance and highlights the success of their collaborative efforts over the years.

Additionally, TVS SCS has been awarded a significant new contract by VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) to manage in-plant warehousing and logistics operations at the Eicher bus manufacturing facility in Baggad, Madhya Pradesh. This new contract, announced a month ago, extends a longstanding collaboration between TVS SCS and VECV, which began in 2006 with the management of in-plant logistics at VECV's truck manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.

Furthermore, TVS SCS announced a strategic partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) last month to advance the utilisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within its business operations. This collaboration aims to enhance AI governance and embed it as a fundamental structure across the organisation.
