TVS Motor Company, a manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers, announced that it has elevated Sudarshan Venu as the Managing Director of the company. The decision was taken at a board meeting.
Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director, TVS Motor, on his elevation said, “I am very thankful for this special opportunity and very excited for the future. With the continued guidance of my father and Sir Ralf and the support of the Board and team, I look forward to further embracing the future of mobility. This is an interesting time for the industry globally, and I am passionate about being at the forefront of this.”
Sudarshan has held various roles with TVS in the past. He has been actively associated with the company's expansion in many international markets including Africa, ASEAN and Latin America. He is also on the board of Sundaram - Clayton Ltd, the holding Company and TVS Credit Services Limited, NBFC arm of the group.
Venu had obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School. Venu has also done M.Sc. in International Technology Management from the Warwick Manufacturing Group attached to the University of Warwick in U.K.
