TVS Motor Company has appointed Peyman Kargar as Head of International Business. With over 30 years of leadership experience in the global automotive industry, his appointment signals the company's intent to strengthen its presence in advanced international markets.
Kargar brings with him a track record of managing high-level roles across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His most recent role was as Global Chairman and President of INFINITI, the luxury division of Nissan. During his tenure, he led the brand’s full value chain and oversaw a transformation that resulted in a 20 percent rise in volume and positioned the business towards an annual profit target of one billion US dollars.
Prior to his leadership at INFINITI, Kargar held senior roles within the Renault-Nissan Alliance. He served as Chairman and Senior Vice President for the Africa, Middle East, and India region at Nissan, where he managed operations across more than 80 countries. He also led the DATSUN brand and served as Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Renault Group for nearly 50 countries, managing an annual turnover of four billion euros and 400,000 vehicle sales. His earlier roles included responsibilities in R&D, manufacturing, sales, and aftersales while serving as Country Manager in Iran and Managing Director of Renault Middle East.
K N Radhakrishnan expressed confidence that Kargar’s international experience and proven leadership in scaling businesses will help TVS Motor deepen its global footprint. He noted that TVS has been steadily expanding its reach beyond India and that Kargar’s addition to the leadership team will bring strategic direction and sharpen the company’s execution in global markets.
