TVS Motor Achieves Record Revenue, Profit During FY23

During the year ended March 2023, the company's overall two and three-wheeler sales grew by 11% at 36.82 lakh units as against 33.10 lakh units in the year 2021-22.

TVS Motor Company’s revenue from operations in Q3FY23 grew by 19% to INR 6,605 crore against INR 5,530 crore in the same quarter last year. 

Its operating EBITDA for the period is higher at 10.3%, achieving a record operating EBITDA of INR 680 crore, growing by 22% against INR 557 crore in the same period in FY22. 

In FY23, the overall two and three-wheeler sales grew by 11% to 36.82 lakh units against 33.10 lakh units in FY22. TVS' Motorcycle sales were 17.33 lakh (17.32 lakh units), and scooter sales grew by 45% to 13.34 lakh units (9.23 lakh units). Electric vehicles registered sales of 0.97 lakh units during the period against 0.11 lakh units in FY22.  

The revenue from operations in FY23 grew by 27% to INR 26,378 crore against INR 20,791 crore recorded in 2021-22. Operating EBITDA for the year is higher at 10.1% compared to 9.4% in the previous year, and PAT was at INR 1,491 crore compared to INR 894 crore reported during the year ended March 2022. 

The company sold 1.69 Lakh units of three-wheeler in FY23 against 1.72 lakh units in FY22.
