Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has unveiled the Hilux Black Edition in India, catering to customers seeking a high-performance lifestyle utility vehicle that seamlessly blends off-road adventure capabilities with urban sophistication. Designed to meet evolving customer expectations, the Hilux Black Edition offers an all-black aggressive aesthetic while maintaining its legendary toughness, power, and performance.
At the core of the Hilux Black Edition is a 2.8L Four-Cylinder Turbo-Diesel Engine, delivering 500 Nm of torque and paired with a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission. The 4X4 drivetrain ensures seamless off-road capability, reinforced by Toyota’s robust engineering. Built on an Innovative Multi-Purpose Vehicle (IMV) platform, it boasts a 700mm water wading capacity, making it a standout in its segment.
The Hilux Black Edition features an all-new black-themed exterior that enhances its road presence. Key design elements include a black front radiator grille, muscular bonnet line, and 18-inch black alloy wheels with customized hub caps. Additional blacked-out styling components such as ORVM covers, door handles, fender garnish, and fuel lid garnish add to its aggressive appeal. The sharp swept-back LED headlights and LED rear combination lamps complete the vehicle’s striking look.
Safety remains a top priority, with the Hilux Black Edition equipped with 7 SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TC), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), and Automatic Limited Slip Differential (ALSD). Hill Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) further enhance stability on rugged terrains, while front parking sensors add convenience in urban settings.
Inside, the Hilux Black Edition boasts a premium driver-focused cabin with luxurious leather upholstery and a dual-zone fully automatic climate control system. The 8-inch infotainment touchscreen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ensuring seamless connectivity. Other premium features include an eight-way powered driver seat, electrochromic IRVM, reverse parking camera with audio display, and Smart Entry with Engine Push Start/Stop.
