Kia’s making a premium push in India in CY2024 and leading this charge will be the Carnival MPV and EV9 electric three-row vehicle. Both will be launched together on 3 October and in the Rs. 50 lakh Rs 1 crore price category, respectively. However, Mobility Outlook has now learned that there will be a third premium car for India and that’s expected to arrive in 2025 as a part of the automaker’s push. This car will be the updated EV6 electric, which has now been officially patented in India.

Outside, the EV6 gets a new face while on the side, the biggest change is new alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin gets a new digital IRVM, 12-inch HUD, and a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel with an off-set Kia logo. As for the battery pack and specifications, the Kia EV6 gets a larger 84kWh unit which is upped by 6.6kWh over the outgoing model.

Kia updated the Seltos in 2023 and then the Sonet at the start of this year. The Carnival and EV9 will now follow this before the arrival of the Carens EV and Carens facelift. This updated EV6 will be a CBU and is expected to arrive in mid-2025.
