Citroen recently took the batting end and hit seven runs in one ball! No, this is not some IPL extra hit type situation but rather it’s the automaker’s celebration of bringing MS Dhoni into its fold by launching a special edition of its C3 Aircross SUV.
Dubbed the C3 Aircross Dhoni Edition, it features a ‘7’ decal and ‘Dhoni’ lettering on the side. Inside, the feature list has been upgraded to include a dashboard camera, illuminated sill plates, special cushions, and seatbelt covers. However, the kicker for this is that one lucky buyer will get a chance to win a pair of wicket-keeping gloves worn and signed by the legend himself.
The car is not expected to change mechanically and will continue with Citroen’s 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 109bhp/190Nm in MT guise and 205Nm in AT guise. Both transmissions are six-speed units. What makes this collaboration interesting is that this is MSD’s first ever joint venture with an automaker and this is even more surprising when you consider that the man is a huge car enthusiast. We can expect a premium of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 over the price of the standard top-spec model for this Dhoni Edition.
