Electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors, which is beefing up its leadership team before the launch of Model 3, has hired Samir Jain as Lead After-Sales, two people aware of the matter informed Mobility Outlook.
Prior to Tesla, Samir had worked with premium luxury car brand Porsche India for over seven years. At Porsche, he was working as Head of Aftersales and Network Development and was responsible for steering network growth and dealer business management. He was also working on launching electric Taycan in India.
Jain’s position will be based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Tesla had recently appointed Manuj Khurana for Policy and Development, Nishant Nishant for Charging Infrastructure, Vaibhav Taneja as Chief Accounting Officer and Chithra Thomas for Human Resources.
According to reports, Prashanth R Menon, who has been working for over four years as Director, has been elevated as the CEO for the India business.
The electric vehicle manufacturer is expected to launch its popular Model 3 in India by next month.
