Tata Motors has crossed the 10,000 delivery mark for the Tiago.ev within four months since deliveries commenced from January 2023 onwards.
The company noted that the EV got its first 10,000 bookings within 24 hours of commencement of bookings, while the next 10,000 bookings within the next two months by December 2022.
The carmaker claims that the Tiago.ev made its way to 491 cities, covering 11.2 million kms and saving 1.6 million grams of CO2.
Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said, “The Tiago.ev was a result of our ambition to fast forward the ongoing evolution towards the future of mobility by introducing a car that would encourage rapid adoption of EVs. And, we are so happy to see our vision realise as 10K families said yes to Go.ev with the Tiago.ev.”
Launched back in September 2022, the Tiago.ev offered two battery pack options: a 19.2 kWh lithium-ion pack with an estimated MIDC range of 250 km while the higher IP67-rated 24kWh battery packs offer 315 km.
The new hatch gets a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that can propel it from zero to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. It also features the company’s Zconnect with 45 features, such as remote AC control, geo-fencing and real-time charge status.
