Tata Motors on Wednesday launched the long-range version of the Tigor EV starting at INR 12.49 lakh, ex-showroom, India, for the XE trim level.
With a new Magnetic Red colour option, the updated e-sedan from Tata Motors can now achieve a claimed ARAI range of 315 kms on a single charge.
The Tigor EV gets powered by a 26-kWh liquid-cooled, high energy density battery pack, an IP67-rated battery pack, and a 55 kW motor producing 170 Nm of torque.
Besides, the e-sedan also features leatherette upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps, cruise control, multi-mode regen, connected car technology- Zconnect, smartwatch connectivity, iTPMS and tyre puncture repair kit.
Furthermore, Tata Motors is extending a free-of-cost feature update pack to the current Tigor.ev owners through a software update including multi-mode regeneration, iTPMS and tyre puncture repair kit.
Meanwhile, the existing XZ+ and XZ+ DT customers can also get a smartwatch connectivity upgrade.
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, noted that with 50,000 Tata EVs on the road, the company enjoys an 89% market share (YTD) in the EV market.
