Home-grown car manufacturer Tata Motors on Tuesday rolled out the 100,000th unit of its premium hatchback, the Altroz, from its manufacturing facility in Pune. The car was launched back in January 22, 2020.
The hatchback is the first car from the company to utilise the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture.
The company claims that Altroz has ramped up to the number two position in the premium hatchback category in FY22, with a market share of more than 20%.
Furthermore, the car sold 7,550 units in March 2021, with an average monthly sale of roughly 6,000 units in FY22, the company said in a press release.
Rajan Amba, Vice-President, Sales, Marketing & Customer Care, PVBU, Tata Motors, said, “The feat of 100,000th rollout today is yet another testament to the success of the Altroz in a challenging segment like a premium hatchback. With increasing recognition from Indian consumers and earning incremental market share, we are confident that Altroz is poised for even more success in the future.”
Starting from INR 5.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the car comes with three engine options, 1.2L Revotron Petrol, 1.2L i-Turbo Petrol and 1.5L diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
It is also available in the Dark Range and offers a host of premium features across all variants such as iRA connected car technology, touchscreen infotainment, leatherette seats, seven-inch TFT digital cluster, R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels, Cruise Control, Rear AC vents and many more.
