Leading homegrown vehicle maker Tata Motors announced that it has recorded a 48%, YoY growth in the quarterly global wholesales as it closed the Q1FY23 with sales of 316,443 units, including the JLR brand.
For the CV sector and Tata Daewoo range, the company managed retails of 103,529 units in the first quarter of the fiscal year, resulting in a 97% jump compared to Q1FY22.
Meanwhile, the passenger vehicle segment registered a growth of 32% in Q1FY23 compared to Q1FY22, as the segment saw global retail sales of 212,914 units across all brands.
The company noted that sales of the luxury arm JLR fell by 33.6% as it clocked global retails of 82,587 vehicles compared to 124,537 units in the Q1FY22. It must be noted that the numbers for this fiscal include CJLR volumes of 10,772 units.
Jaguar wholesales for the quarter were 14,596 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the quarter were 67,991 vehicles, the company noted.
