Tata Motors has inaugurated a new warehouse in Guwahati dedicated to commercial vehicle spare parts. The digitalised facility, covering 1 lakh square feet, is designed to significantly improve the availability and delivery times of Tata Genuine Spare Parts across the North East.

The warehouse is strategically located to support Tata Motor's commitment to enhancing the vehicle ownership experience in one of India’s fastest-growing regions. By ensuring a consistent supply of spare parts, the facility is set to reduce wait times and increase the efficiency of vehicle maintenance for commercial operators in the area.

Equipped with advanced infrastructure and safety measures, the warehouse features modern storage systems such as gravity spiral and vertical reciprocating conveyors, specialised areas for handling medium and heavy vehicle body parts, and is poised to meet diverse logistical demands. Tata Motors has also partnered with Delhivery, India's largest fully integrated logistics service provider, to leverage cutting-edge, technology-driven warehousing and transportation solutions.

Vikram Agarwal, Head – Spares and Non Vehicular Business at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, commented on the release, “The inauguration of the new warehouse in Guwahati is a testament to Tata Motors' customer-centric approach and will further enhance the vehicle ownership experience by ensuring easy availability of spares. This facility not only brings us closer to our customers but also makes logistics more efficient in the North East.'

The Guwahati warehouse is expected to serve as a critical hub for smarter inventory management at Tata Authorised Service Stations in the region, thereby enhancing service quality and vehicle uptime. The new setup is part of Tata Motors' broader strategy to optimise service and support for its extensive range of commercial vehicles, from sub-1-tonne cargo vehicles to 55-tonne trucks and buses, across its network of over 2,500 touchpoints nationwide.
