Tata Motors on Tuesday announced a marginal price hike on its passenger vehicles, effective January 19, 2022

The average increase of 0.9% will be implemented based on the variant and model, said the company. Moreover, the company has also taken a reduction of up to INR 10,000 on specific variants, in response to customer feedback.

The steep rise in overall input costs has compelled the company to pass on some proportion through this minimal price hike, said the company, adding it has absorbed a significant portion of the increased costs.

Further, Tata Motors has decided to offer price protection to all its customers of the New Forever range, with an assurance that there would be no impact of the price hike on cars booked on or before January 18, 2022.
