Home-grown automobile manufacturer Tata Motors reported 43% growth in global wholesales in the Q4FY21 at 330,125 units, compared to 231,929 units in the same period of the previous fiscal year. These figures also include the global sales of its luxury arm Jaguar Land Rover.
The global sales of its commercial vehicle entity, including the Tata Daewoo range, reported a 55% growth at 109,428 units in Q4FY21 compared to 72,068 units sold in the same period last year.
It is to be noted that the rise in sales is primarily due to the base effect of lower sales in Q4FY20 because of the pandemic.
In terms of the passenger vehicles, the segment reported a 39% rise in sales at 220,697 in the quarter under review compared to 159,321 units in the same period last year.
Jaguar Land Rover global wholesales stood at 136,461 units, including the joint venture subsidiary of the automaker and Chery Automobiles, CJLR volumes of 13,772 units, the company said in a press release.
