Tata Motors has announced the integration of the HARMAN Ignite Store into its vehicles, starting with its best-sellers Nexon.ev and Punch.ev. This strategic enhancement comes as a part of Tata Motors’ decade-long partnership with HARMAN, a premier provider of intelligent cockpit solutions and automotive audio products.
The HARMAN Ignite Store aligns with Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) standards, offering Tata Motor's customers a seamless and secure way to integrate their digital lives into their daily commutes. This platform serves as an in-vehicle app store, hosting a range of applications tailored to enhance the driving experience and ensure safety and connectivity on the go.
With the HARMAN Ignite Store, Tata Motors is set to offer its customers an array of digital services. The initial launch includes popular apps such as Gaana, Jio Saavn, and Jio Pages, along with interactive entertainment options like Beach Buggy Racing and TuneIn Radio, providing a comprehensive suite of services that cater to the entertainment, information, and utility needs of Indian drivers.
Jens Beckmann, Senior Director at HARMAN International, emphasised the transformative impact of this collaboration, “The HARMAN Ignite Store is not just about enhancing the in-car experience; it’s about reshaping how consumers interact with their vehicles. This platform enables us to bring cutting-edge digital solutions right to the fingertips of Tata Motor’s customers.”
Anand Kulkani, Chief Product Officer for EV at Tata Motors, commented on the partnership's significance, “Our continued alliance with HARMAN enables us to deliver a richer, more connected drive. The HARMAN Ignite Store ensures our vehicles are not just modes of transportation but are platforms that extend the personal digital ecosystem of our customers”.
