Homegrown vehicle maker Tata Motors announced that it has delivered 965 units of Tata Winger Ambulance to the ‘108 ambulance service project’ – an emergency response service programme initiated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, under the National Rural Health Mission.
With this, these ambulances will now be a part of emergency transportation care working across Madhya Pradesh, the company noted.
As part of the scheme, the feature-rich Tata Winger ambulance has two applications in the project, including ‘Sanjeevani’, an EMAS (Emergency Media Ambulance Service) which can be booked via an exclusive ‘MP 108 Sanjeevani’ app across Madhya Pradesh and ‘Janani Express’, a dedicated Type B (patient transport) ambulance service for women.
The company announced that it has delivered 28,000 units of Tata Winger Ambulances since its debut 15 years ago.
For COVID-19 vaccination drives, it delivered the ambulances in Gujarat, Lucknow, Jamshedpur, Dharwad, Gandhinagar and Pantnagar, Tata Motors noted.
The Winger Ambulance is currently available in four options: Patient Transport, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Shell.
