Tata Motors has announced the commencement of deliveries for the Tiago.ev. The company has delivered 2,000 of the e-hatch in the first batch across 133 cities.
Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, noted that the launch of the Tiago.ev was aimed at accelerating EV adoption by democratising the Indian EV market.
“With a 38.6% growth YoY in EVs (as of January 2023), we remain committed to our vision of providing customers with the best, helping make EVs accessible to all,” he added.
Launched in September 2022, the bookings for the vehicle commenced on October 10, 2023. The Tiago EV offers two battery pack options: a 19.2 kWh lithium-ion pack with an estimated MIDC range of 250 km, while the higher IP67-rated 24kWh battery packs offer 315 km.
