Tata Motors is celebrating a significant milestone with the sale of seven lakh units of Nexon, marking its seventh successful year in the market. Launched in 2017, the Nexon has achieved the distinction of being India’s largest selling SUV for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023.
The Nexon was India’s first vehicle to receive a 5-star rating from Global NCAP in 2018, setting a new benchmark for safety in the Indian automotive industry. This legacy of excellence continues, with the new generation Nexon receiving its GNCAP 5-star rating in February 2024, according to the enhanced 2022 protocol. Additionally, the Nexon.ev achieved a prestigious 5-star rating from Bharat-NCAP this month.
The Nexon’s performance and safety features have been recognised with 41 coveted awards. Its accelerated sales growth is evident, with over three lakh units sold in just the last two years (2022 and 2023). Available in multiple powertrains – petrol, diesel, and electric – the Nexon has built a loyal fan base for its class-leading design, segment-best features, and tech-forward experience.
