Partnership aims to boost green logistics with 500 Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks.

Tata Motors has commenced the delivery of its Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks to Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt Ltd. The company placed an order for 150 trucks and the first batch has now been handed over. The remaining trucks will be delivered in phases. In addition, Tata Motors has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to supply a further 350 units, bringing the total number of LNG-powered trucks to 500.

Milan Donga, Director of Clean Green Fuel and Logistics, stated that the company’s logistics operations will be benefiting from Tata Motors' robust after-sales support and cutting-edge connected vehicle platform, Fleet Edge. This platform provides real-time data and analytics to optimise decision-making and operational efficiency.

The Tata Prima 5530.S LNG truck is powered by a Cummins 6.7-litre petrol engine, offering 280 horsepower and 1100 Nm of torque, ensuring excellent performance for commercial operations. The truck is available with both single and dual fuel cryogenic tank options, offering a range of over 1000 kilometres with the dual tank setup, making it ideal for long-distance logistics. In addition to optimising fuel usage with features like Gear Shift Advisor, the truck also enhances driver comfort with a premium cabin design.
