Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. (TPEM) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs) – Chargezone, Glida, Statiq, and Zeon – aiming to set up over 10,000 charging stations across the country by FY25.
This collaboration leverages TPEM's unique telematics insights from over 1.15 lakh Tata EVs on Indian roads and the robust existing presence of each CPO in the charging ecosystem.
These four CPOs, collectively boasting nearly 2,000 charging points in key cities, play a pivotal role in India's ongoing shift towards sustainable mobility. The collaborative effort intends to roll out a network of additional charging points within the next 12-15 months, a move that aligns with the growing demand for convenient and widespread charging infrastructure.
TPEM will actively contribute to the installation of chargers at locations frequented by its EV owners, sharing valuable insights on charger usage to enhance the overall customer experience.
The collaboration also explores the introduction of a smart payment gateway through co-branded RFID cards, streamlining payment processes for Tata EV users. Additionally, customers can benefit from loyalty programs offered by these CPOs, ensuring a seamless charging experience with dedicated customer care support.
