Tata Motors recently introduced the Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG AMT in the country, thus making them the first set of CNG automatic cars to be offered in the country. With prices starting at Rs. 7.90 lakh and Rs. 8.85 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom), respectively, they are available in three variants each.
The introduction of these new variants also hints at the possibility of the CNG AMT variant combination to eventually arrive in other CNG cars from the brand. The latter could include the Punch and the Altroz, both of which are already available with a CNG version, albeit only with a manual transmission.
The Tata CNG AMT siblings are also obviously the first in their respective segments to offer this unique combination in the Indian market. Both cars are claimed to return a mileage of 28.06km/kg. A few notable features across both models include LED DRLs, projector headlamps, twin-cylinder CNG technology, seven-inch touchscreen system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, TPMS, Type-C charger, and leatherette seats.
