Suzuki Motor Corporation and Tata Elxsi inaugurated the SUZUKI-TATA ELXSI Offshore Development Center in Pune, marking a strategic collaboration to advance innovation in mobility.

The partnership focuses on developing energy-efficient solutions for electric, hybrid, and alternative fuel vehicles while leveraging Tata Elxsi's expertise in software-defined vehicles and advanced simulations to enhance time-to-market.

Katsuhiro Kato, Suzuki’s Chief Technology Officer, emphasized the centre's role in the company’s innovation strategy. “As the industry evolves in Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric technologies, Suzuki must fast-track electronic and virtual development. Tata Elxsi’s advanced computing and design capabilities make them a strategic partner in delivering cutting-edge solutions,” he said, adding that the partnership also enables India’s talent to contribute to Suzuki’s global development initiatives.

Manoj Raghavan, MD & CEO of Tata Elxsi, said, “This collaboration represents a significant milestone in our shared vision for sustainable and transformative mobility. Tata Elxsi’s design-led, digital-first approach is well-aligned with Suzuki’s energy minimisation goals, pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering.”
