Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMI), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, today launched the KATANA priced INR 13.61 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi.
The launch is a part of Suzuki's strategy to solidify its big bike portfolio in the country, pointed out Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India. He said, 'We received a lot of queries from motorcycle enthusiasts after showcasing the KATANA in the last auto expo. It is based on the positive feedback of our potential customers that we decided to introduce the KATANA in India. We are confident that KATANA will be able to make its own cult following in India too.”
Powering the vehicle is a 999 cm3 four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline-four engine which can deliver 112 kW (152 PS) / 11,000 RPM power and 106 N-m / 9,250 RPM torque. The motorcycle is armed with Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), which features Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System, Low RPM Assist and Suzuki Easy Start System.
The vehicle features a vertically stacked LED headlight with a unique rectangular shape and LED front position lights. The vehicle maker will be offering the motorcycle in Metallic Mat Stellar Blue and Metallic Mystic Silver colour options.
