Leading provider of energy infrastructure and services for electric vehicles (EVs), SUN Mobility has announced its partnership with Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM) to work together and provide solutions for the EV customers in the battery swapping segment.
As part of this partnership, both the parties will deploy swappable batteries for EVs in the country, a press release from the company stated.
With the government and key industry players recognising Battery-as-a-Service to accelerate EV adoption, this partnership aims to further bolster EV adoption in India in the Electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers categories by utilising the same charging infrastructure, the release added.
Additionally, the SUN Mobility platform would address all the vehicles from GEM using 1/2/3/4 batteries, giving customers a one-stop solution, the company said.
The varied range of products by Greaves Electric Mobility under the Ampere, ELE and MLR Auto brands will help strengthen the partnership, it added.
