SUN Mobility - IOCL

SUN Mobility and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) have announced the appointment of Anant Badjatya as CEO of their newly formed joint venture, Indofast Swap Energy Pvt. Ltd.

This strategic leadership shift comes in the wake of a landmark agreement between IOCL and SUN Mobility in June 2024, aimed at establishing one of India’s largest battery-swapping networks by 2030.

With over two decades of experience in the energy and automotive sectors, Badjatya will spearhead efforts to create a vast battery-swapping network, leveraging Indian Oil's extensive network of over 37,000 fuel stations and SUN Mobility's cutting-edge battery-swapping technology. Indofast Swap Energy will operate under a Battery-as-a-Service model, providing two- and three-wheeler owners with affordable, convenient mobility solutions, addressing concerns like range anxiety and long charging times.

Commenting on his new role, Anant Badjatya said, “We aim to be synonymous with India’s mobility revolution, becoming a household name for two- and three-wheeler customers. Our innovative technology and vast infrastructure demonstrate our commitment to delivering practical, accessible, and eco-friendly mobility solutions.”
